Longtime I.B.M. Ring 50 member Ronald Allen Bacon passed away Friday, Oct. 8th, 2004 at the age of 74 years. Ron was famous for his beautifully crafted close-up cases, magic tables and convertible table/cases. He also was an avid collector of McDonald's ephemera. But if you knew him, you'll remember his sense of humor and childlike love of magic, which never left him. He is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Bacon-Bozzi and Karen Healey.
There will be a viewing on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at the Howard M. Fleck Funeral Home 550 Washington Blvd., Laurel, Maryland 20707 Viewing hours will be 1-3 pm and then again 6-8 pm. The actual funeral hasn't been confirmed yet, as the family are waiting for the cemetery arrangements. It will be a military funeral with full honors, as Ron was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Respectfully submitted, Eric Henning Immediate Past President I.B.M. Ring 50 The National Capital Ring http://www.IBMRing50.org |
