Hey guys,
dont post in this forum often, I'm more of a card guy so I hang around in pick a card any card... anyways, my dorm is having this yearly event called "all hill halloween," - it's where we open up our dorms for kids from inner city neighborhoods so they get a chance to trick or treat in a safe environment. I was looking for an illusion that I could perform preferably walking around, just to give these kids a little scare (nothing too graphic). I was looking particularly at the sliding head illusion (the one seen on THEM) and I read on previous threads that the plans can be bought and downloaded from a site. my question was is it easy to make? and also where could I pick up a cheap jacket to use for it? (seeing as how I'll probably only use it for this night and maybe once or twice more) also any other suggestions would be appreciated thanks guys! |

I really haven't heard of anywhere you could download the plans from. Since you are in to cards, why not do The Web. It's good for walking around. I am also pretty sure that this illusion would not be cheap even if there is plans for it. There are tons of different effects out there that are scary. Most of the magic shops right now have their own halloween section until the end of October. Check them out. I'm sure this hasn't helped much but it is a start. Also, there's always the haunted deck.

Just took a look at it. It seems that the price isn't alot. If you don't like it you can always sell it. It doesn't sound like it's complicated to build from what it says. I have Andrew Mayne's facelifter and it didn't take a lot to build. Advertising is always tricky. Also, a cheap place to get a coat would be your local thrift store. Hope someone else has this and can be of more help.

For anyone that might have it, do I need a trench coat type jacket or can I use a regular coat? also, does the gimmick permanently affect the coat or can it be removed? thanks
