Does ANYONE know where I can find these series. I live in the U.S and someone put them up on his ftp server for me to download, and I lost the cd's they were on. I would love to view these series again. I have searched torrents, websites and everything else in google and came up with nothing. Can someone help me out please. Thanks

Ok, let me try again. Firstly, this isn't what I'm looking for. I understand the "INSIDE YOUR MIND" dvd has (from what I understand) the best of the best from his tv shows. Im SPECIFICALLY looking for his tv shows though.
Also, as I have mentioned earlier, I live in the U.S. I don't have a region free dvd player so therefore I would be unable to play anything from the UK. Im just lookin to see if there is a type of host on the internet that hosts these tv shows or if anyone can host them themselves. Thank You |

I think that downloading this kind of material is illegal Just a few notes: First off, if this is a UK TV series, and trixter is in the USA, then UK laws don't apply here. It could be, if there is a copyright on mind control in the USA, but Unless there is, you don't need to follow any UK copyrights. Just like people in new zealand or many places can pirate USA songs as much as they want, because it isn't illegal over there. Also, the general consesus of laws on downloading of TV series in the USA, is that it is legal to download the show, but not to distrubute them. It is pretty ambiguous wording in the lawbooks, but basically you can download anything legally and watch it, but you can't give it to others. Hope this helps! |

The blanket response "...you don't need to follow any UK copyrights" is incorrect. Though there is no international copyright per se, both the UK and the US are parties to the Berne Convention and the UCC - thus protection is available and certain laws do apply. Copyrighting material in one country does not implicity imply it may be misused by others in another country.

Yes, sorry for my oversimplification, but for the most part, downloading stuff from another country than the one your in, will barely ever land you in any real trouble.
While I'm not a lawyer, I'm still pretty sure(from everything read on the subject) that it is a lot harder for a UK company to take you to US courts and prosecute you and come to a settlement than it is for the RIAA, a US company. |

No, the US would enforce copyright infringements of copyright holders in other countries it has agreements with (the same way the US expects other countries to enforce US copyright holder's rights; for instance, while we don't have an explicit agreement with China, the Chinese understand the problem and actively go after piraters, though it remains a very considerable problem there). However, no one would waste their time going after one person who downloads for mere recreational use. If you're pirating for business, however...
