Hi Darren
I've been trying to get my hands on one as well with no success. I've got magnetic 50p and 10p coins, but they're not particularly strong, certainly not strong enough for the effect I had in mind. The problem being (I think)is that they're normal iron which has been magnetised as opposed to a much stronger rare earth magnet. I suspect a normal iron £1 coin painted gold may not have a very strong magnetic field. If you're going to use it they way I think you want to, one solution could be to have a £1 coin complete shell made and conceal a neodynium (spelling?) magnet within it. This should give you sufficient oomph, so to speak. If you have any luck finding one or someone who can make one please repost here, I'll do the same. Cheers Dave |

I've got my hands on a shell. I need to experiment a bit more, but Im fairly certain you can get a much stronger magnetic field. Check your PM's, I've sent you a message with the dealer and product details. cheers Dave |
