I couldn't find it the first time either. The link is at the very bottom of the home page, on the left, and it's really small. You have to wait for the entire page to load before it shows up.
Maybe it's a good thing it's so hard to find...

I found the site ages ago and actually has emailed the "exposure team" a couple of times and asked for a few things, mainly the reason why are they doing it in the first place. Needless to say I´ve never got any reply. I've passed the URL to D´C's people, but also the likes of Steinmeyer and Andre Kole and if my memory serves me correct, Graig Browning also forwarded it to several people.
One thing that really bugs me is the following passage: "Sir from Khabarowsk! Stop shouting here! You are not alone here and nobody's interested in your -27 C° under your blanket." That is with the site's "explanation" of snow. The other thing is: "Shame on you uncle Copperfield, it's not good to fool people" This guy seems to be on some sort of really strange crusade, and seems to be missing the point that DC is, like the rest of us, an entertainer who to my knowledge doesn't claim to possess any supernatural powers. Its quite disturbing actually to find someone who is that bitter and so filled with hatred. The site certainly has no effect on DC's career, except in the little mind of the creator of the site. I tend to think this guy is actually a failed magician. Someone who enjoyed Copperfield's magic and wanted to be like him but just lacked the skill and charisma. Whatever the reason, I bet he's not enjoying his life.

Mvmagic,
I don't know that I agree with you that Abdulov is a failed magician who's taking it out on DC. There have been a lot of "exposure" shows here in the U.S. for years, including Geraldo, "60 Minutes," and others -- shows that often dig into stuff that's nobody's business under the guise of "investigative reporting." Most recently there's "Mythbusters," a pseudo-science show that's "anaylized and exposed" stuff like Ricky Jay's card-throwing. My wild-*** guess is that Abdulov wants to join this trend; he might even be hoping that a TV producer in Russia or elsewhere "discovers" him. Yikes! Sorry, not to follow up on my own post, but "I forgot" something... Abdulov does say DC fools and deceives people. My personal (business aside) response to that is, "No s***, Sherlock! DC is a magician. That's part of the job description!"

George, its part of YOUR job description as well??? Mine too! Thankfully there aren't any sites bashing US!
I may have a different point of view, as we here in Finland don´t have such exposure shows. We did have the masked valentino thing but that's it. I havent heard anyone mentioning it since it aired, So he might wanna join the trend, but still those certain comments make it sound like an extremely personal attack. Or what do you think?

You could be entirely correct -- it could just be a personal thing with him. I tend to be kinda jaded after years of exposure to the level of TV we have here in the U.S., so the amount of work that went into the site makes me think there's a hidden agenda that includes making a profit in some fashion.
Incidentally, I find it unbelievable and awesome that I'm "talking" with somebody in Finland, from the San Francisco Bay Area, via a computer. My very best regards to you and yours.

I just want to comment on the beginning of the thread
very quickly. I believe that creating large-audience revelation shows for television is a really bad thing. I think everyone here would agree with that. However, as much as I dislike what these various revelation magicians do, their thought process isn't entirely insane (though it certianly isn't sane either). They claim (and Im sure only a small fraction of these people do it for this reason, and not for money) that they're revealing 'old tricks' that are repeatedly used and re-taught to new students of magic in an effort to stop the repetative nature of magic today. Let's be honest with ourselves and say that there hasn't been a whole lot of new breakthroughs in magic in recent years. Please don't mistake what I'm saying. I'm not saying we should reveal tricks in the hopes people come up with entirely new creations. I'm just repeating what some of these revelation magicians *claim* to have as their motive. |

As I mentioned before, the Abdulov site is really not a big problem. I don't like it, nobody does, but it has been up for over a year, and nobody but us is really taking any notice of it.
Abdulov is a failed magician. Alex Krey has already posted a lot about him on this very forum. He is hated over there, and really, over here, too. He has no talent, no originality and no skill. He is basically what we would have if the Amazing Randi did not have psychics and faith healers to pick on, except that Randi can do some magic. Abdulov is a spoiled child with a web site who can't even book a show on a legitimate television network. The main reason I don't post anything about him on my exposure pages is that it would just give him too much publicity. We don't need to do that.
