Anyone have one? I am thinking of getting this. It looks like it would be better than the older one. Easy to reset.

I have not seen a magnetic hopping half. Is it made by Johnson or Sasso? Are you sure it was a magnetic hopping half and not a magnetic scotch and soda set?

I can understand the purpose and use for a magnetic scotch and soda (coin thru glass) but what are the benefits of having a magnetic hopping half?

The advantage is you don't need a bang ring to reset the gimmick. So if you're table hopping, you can do it over and over by demurely (sp?) separating the magnetic gimmick between sets.

James, the Hopping half set does not use bang rings. Reset on Hopping half is simply putting everything back together - 5 seconds or so reset.
Scotch and Soda uses a bang ring. I think you are confusing the effects. |

My Johnson's set of Hopping Halves do not require a bang ring. Are you sure you are not confusing the Scotch and Soda coins with the Hopping Half effect? My regular Hopping Half coins reset immediately without the need for a bang ring. All of the coins and s..... are loose.

Really...
Asking for a magnetic Hopping Half is as non-sensical as asking for a Tally-ho doublefacer. Either the questioner has no idea what a hh is or it is a prank. Magnetic CSB anyone?

Now you got me wondering if iam meesed up. I have to go check.but iam almost sure its a hopping half.

I would suggest that you check the coin set and describe the effect. But Dan and the others seem to be correct that it has to be a scothc and soda set, not a hopping half set.

I just can't see a purpose for a magnetic Hopping Half set either. Seems it would make the handling much more difficult.

Don't feel bad magic8161. It's funny, if you see my post earlier in this thread, I assumed it was the Silver Copper even though you said it was the Hopping Half. See, I knew what you were thinking the whole time! I'm mental like that!
