Menard's is a great supplier and "Leach F26" is a great glue.

Gorilla Glue is certainly my pick for joining different materials together (metal to wood, plastic to metal, etc.). Otherwise, I HATE the stuff -- if you don't wear rubber gloves when applying it, you'll get long-lasting black stains on your paws.

This adhesive is polyurethane based and can be wiped off with cellulose thinners before it sets.
Somebody mentioned you have to wet the timber first, that is a fallacy. All this will do is speed up the curing time,it is not needed at all,as there is enough moisture in the timber to start the curing process.
When using this sort of adhesive, with it's gap filling nature, you must always cramp the joint to achieve it's full strength.
Cheers,Ray.

I use Weatherproof Titebond II to re-assemble the stuff that came apart after it was Gorilla Glued.
Fine Woodworking Magazine tested many of them about eighteen months ago.

As for Home Despot, they should price that stuff by the cord.
