Not sure if such a product exists but thought this would be the place to ask. Is there such a thing as a coin purse that allows you to show the purse empty and then later produce one or two coins from it. I'm doing Cody Fisher's copper silver brass and it comes with a nice gimmicked Goshman coin purse but the gimmicked purse does not let you show the purse empty at the end. I guess I'm kinda looking for a change bag mechanism built into a coin purse.

I altered one of my coin purses for this purpose. If it's lined, it's a pretty simple matter to rig something up.

I make custom purses quite often.
If you have something in mind, let me know. I'm also going to be producing the Cellini purses in the near future as well. Frank

Seems kind of obvious, but can't you just do a purse switch at the end of the routine?

Dear Emyers99,
In my routine...the two foreign coin vanish and reappear back in the purse. To end you simply dump the coins out of the purse. (The purse is seen to be empty) Do you mean that you want the purse to be examined? I don't think it is necessary at this point since the routine is over. In fact...after the coins have been dumped out...I push all three coins over to one of my volunteers and ask them to place the coins back into the purse. I have NEVER had anyone ask about the little extra pocket in the purse... If you are still having problems...please feel free to PM me...I will try my best to help you out any way I can. Cody S. Cody,
I agree that your routine is amazing and people I have shown it to have been blown away but for some reason, even though I dump the coins from the purse into their hand at the end in a very free manner (as your purse allows you to do) some people still say "let me see what's inside the purse." I can't figure out why they would ask this given how cleanly the coins are displayed in your routine. My guess is that they are so clueless, they have no other explanation but that something must be inside the purse. Not a big deal but it does occassionally happen. I just thought a gimmicked purse such as the one I described above would have been thought of by a bunch of people before me. So I figured I would ask if anyone manufactures them. Thanks for the input all. |

Dear Emyers99,
Thanks for the kind words concerning my CSB routine... I guess if you wanted to you could just do a purse switch in the pocket? Also, you can buy "himber coin purses" buy they are not examinamble either... I hope this helps, Cody S. Fisher MUM Magazine

Thanks Cody. I'd prefer not to do a purse switch, especially in the pocket as that would kill the cleanliness of the routine. I will work something out. Thanks for the ideas though.

I use Nate Kranzo's purse... the one that turns into a ROCK that looks like the purse. It is a killer climax to the routine.
The CSB routine I use is the original from Connie Haden (Bobo) and he personally taught it to me. What I would like to find is a routine that STARTS with the clean coins and you switch in the gaff.

Dear Pete,
My CSB routine starts by dumping the coins from the purse...the coins can all be examined. The there there are three highly visual CSB phases. Finally the two foreign coins vanish and reappear back in the purse...all can be examined! I tried to solve most of the standard CSB problems. In my routine: 1) All coins examined before and after the routine 2) No switching coins in the pocket 3) No exposing "extra coins" as in the original 4) Finally has a KICKER ending Anyway, If you would like specifics please feel free to PM me. I hope this help, Cody S. Fisher P.S. Hocus Pocus now has my "Unforgettable Coin Magic" on DVD!

Check out Scotty York's "Another Excerin Headache for Roger". It starts clean but uses a 2 copper- 1 silver set which shouldn't make any difference. It is a variation of Klause's "Tabled Transpo Plus" which was in Kaballa, Vol. 1 #7. |
