Hot Shot cut is on Daryl's Encyclopedia of Card Sleights volume 8 I believe. And Instant Replay is in Art of Astonishment I think on volume 3 (but I'm not sure on that).

Blaine did both in his specials.
The thing where 2 cards jumps back and fourth from his hands, that's Instant replay. And the shootout from the middle of the deck to inbetween 2 aces he held is Hotshot cut.

EXTREME BEGINNERZ DVD has the hotshot cut. David Blaine didn't use this cut there. that's not it. The spectators card is shot from the center of the deck visibly into other hand.

Crap, I spelled "Simple" wrong. My bad, I'm really stupid.

Meh, I knew that.
Then again, I wrote that about 2 years ago.

Check the Stars of Magic DVDs Paul Harris for Instant Replay. He doesn't explain it but shows it in slow motion close up. The AOA book gives a detailed explanation of both Hotshot and Instant Replay. Mr. Harris said his sister can perform this flourish...but it does take practise.
