I forget the name of the actual effect, but in short, a coin is made to appear from anywhere, it lands in a spectators palm. It is in 'The Magic of Michael Ammar' and it also appaers in Greg Wilsons 'On The Spot.' It is an old classic, but unsuer who created it!
My problem is that the hair on the top part of my head is quite long and thick, and when I place a coin there, I have to shake quite vigorously to get it off! quite comical I guess, but annoying at the same time! Any tips? And don't bother saying cut your hair, I'm sure I'm not the only person with this problem! |

Could you not chnage the position of the coin, as oppose to putting it on your crown place it nearer the front? Just a suggestion, hope it helps?
Kind thoughts, K

I sometimes have the same problem depending on how long I go without a haircut. try using a heavier coin, I find a half dollar/crown is a little easier to balance with the hair issue.
good luck. |

It's called "New Wave Coins Across". It is in the book, The magic of Michael Ammar. Great book!
As for your problem you will either need to get your hair cut or try something else. I can see a lot of hair really causing problems with this effect. It caused me some problems too. If your hair don't lay flat it's going to be hit and miss.

This a fun trick with kids because you can leave the coin on their head. I do recommend having the child seated.

Some folks can get a coin to stick to their forehead and by raising your eyebrows the coin will drop. You might grip it with your upper lipt against your nose, or... put it in your mouth and spit it out??

Have a hat made with an open top, toss coin up and it is caught by hat, then leaning forward it goes down a chute and out and drops... then for a kicker you have a release and dozens of coins come flying out of the chute. (Manaufacturing rights reserved)!
