Hi guys
I have a dancing cane in my act which isn't an appearing dancing one and I need to make it appear from newspaper or a dark coloured foulard. Please could you give me advice on how to produce it: ie steal it from behind a table? thanks George |

You can do a table steal pending on how big it is that you need to steal. Table steals are wonderful methods BUT they must be done well by the use of LOGICAL misdirection. This means the misdirection must be logical and not done simply because you feel you need to make a steal. The audience has to see a normal and logical movement on your part for them to except it as normal.

Thank you for your reply, Kyle, I will experiment with table stealing. Are there any books, videos, dvds etc that will teach me those type of things?
thanks George |

Anyone know where to find a nice "Real" cane?
I would like to learn some of the cane and hat manipulations that Charlie Frye teaches on his dvd Eccentricks. Thanks Joe

That's a good question mystre71, I would like to know that too. You could just buy a wooden or aluminum dancing cane and have it without it being stringed up. The balance on dancing canes allow you to spin them with great ease and they are quite light which helps in some moves. You can find a nice cane here:
