Hey all you builders out there.
I once had a flying carpet that I built. Of course my artistic abilities really suck so out side of the gimmick itself, which was the only thing that looked good. Amazing what the color black can do. I never used it. Can anyone tell me what else I can use this gimmick for before I toss it?
Seems to me that death is just natures way of telling us to SLOW DOWN!

You could always use it as a suspension. Although that is what the flying carpet is anyway. Maybe someone else might be able to give you a better use.

Hiya, Magical:
You live in snow country, right? Don't you guys have those snow disc things back there (like the one in National Lampoon's 'Christmas Vacation'?!!!!). Okay, then, how much effort would it take to rig this up with some candy canes, fake snow, whatever, make like your helper is posing (great photo op for the parents) then talk about how you always wished these things could actually fly... Good luck! Leland Edward Stone |

Leland, that is a wonderful idea! The disk is actually something you sit on, so it's a natural. What a concept!
A fun idea might be to have the disk on a pile of fake snow, get the floatee up on it, and then blow the snow away with a garden blower turned on low.
