I love the dove tray and for doves it is great however in my lecture I show about a dozen other ideas

deck of cards
bottle of water
kids shoe
can of soda
bag of balloons
bag of candy

it all really depends on what you want to put in there. What is the routine you are doing? Are you using it as part of a musical number or just as a trick it self? Why not work up a routine with it. Vanish a kids show and have it reappear in the "balloon"

say your thirsty and produce a bottle of water

Put Rocky in there and go wild

you are only limited to your imagination

have fun

oh one little tip. when you are producing the heavier stuff like the shoe or water bottle - as you go to release the you know what give the tray a little up swing as it pops the balloon then draw the tray down ward this will help the object appear in the air verses just flap and there it is sitting on the tray.
