A quick 'heads-up' for anybody with access to BBC4.
Tonight, at 10 p.m., there's a short documentary about M.R. James, the archetypal English ghost story writer. This programme will be immediately followed by a dramatisation of 'Oh, Whistle and I'll Come to You, My Lad'. There are further dramatisations tomorrow night, and on Friday, and Saturday. Yuletide regards, Caleb Strange.

Here is a fine resource for all things Jamesian. Good links to online texts etc.
Have a haunted holiday one and all....and, as an aside, do obtain the recently reprinted Invocation Volume #3 when you can. It is a veritable, addictive fount of weird inspiration. http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~pardos/GS.html |

Docc Shiels has a couple effects based on the 'Oh, Whistle and I'll Come to You, My Lad' story.
