There's a lot of great stuff for beginners in it, but the book does get rather advanced. I think this is probably one of the best resources for effects that has a little something for everyone.

This is a great book. I have it myself and I am definitely a beginner. I also agree with Reis that it is brilliant for effects. I have learnt practically all of my sleights and effects through this book. I hope you enjoy it!

Another good book by Hugard. Nearly 500 pages long, only chapter 19 has about 10 pages of "indispensible" sleights covering the pass, D/L, shuffles etc.
Most of it is reatively self working tricks but some of them require advanced handling with R/S or memory systems. Very good value and suitable for all levels of card workers. |

Great book by Jean Hugard. One of the first magic books I ever bought. Loads of helpful information and tons of card effects.

Like everybody else said, this book is deffinetly a great resource for material. Lots of tricks of different level, nicely classified by type of tricks:
chapter 1: miscellaneous impromptu card tricks, chapter 2: spelling effects, chapter 3: Do as I do effects, etc... A book that I enjoy a lot! Louis :) |
