Hello,
First I can't believe I found this website. I did not know a place like this existed. I'm new here and wanted to tell you about a show my family and I saw in Branson, Missouri. This last September we decided to take a trip down to Branson. Some friends of ours go every year. And they brag that they had so much fun. For those who have never been Branson is a great place to bring the family. Please don't take my word for it asks around. Everyone will tell you the same thing. I could not believe how many shows were in Branson. Everything from singing, dancing, and my favorite MAGIC. We have always been told if you make a trip to Branson it's not complete without seeing Kirby Vanburch. Oh man I can't tell you how amazing the show was. I have two kids ages 8 and 15. They could not stop talking about the show. I deiced to tell everyone about our experience. The show started off in a burst off fire. That of course produced the star of the show. And let me tell you "star" is the right word. I don't know where this guy has been but I can tell you were he is going. After that there were several illusions in a chain reaction (for a lack of a better word). There was one illusion right after another. No breaks or talking from anyone including Mr. Vanburch. I Really won’t say what all the tricks are. I don't want to spoil it for anyone. However, he did this one trick with a black box. He showed that it was empty and precedes 3 items from the box including a black cat. It literarily made me gasp in pure amazement. Overall the show was great. You can tell that Kirby is a performer and he knows his stuff. He has the best interaction with kids I have ever seen. You will laugh right out of your seat. There is some dancing in the show. However, I really would not call it dancing. It's not the Vegas type that everyone is use to. I'm use to going to a magic show and seeing half naked girls on stage. This is not the case in Kirby's show. There are costumes but not as "reviling" as most shows. I just can't tell you how clean the show is. And really makes it great for kids. Unlike one big name out there. I'm sure you know who I'm talking about. The guest comedy was not very funny to me. However, I see allot of magic shows and seen it all before. Plus I really don't like the idea of another guy doing magic in the show. Even thought its comedy magic, it just feels weird. Oh, one thing I should also say is you should allow you’re self to spend some time at the show. I don't know if there was a problem or what. But the show we saw lasted about 2 hours and 45 min with intermission. Speaking of that there was the woman who would talk about all the items for sale. She did it before the show and at intermission. A little too "used car salesman" for me. One thing I did like was the fact you could take a backstage tour after the show. For an additional cost of course It was worth every penny! Not only do you get to meet Kirby and his wife (who has a great mind reading segment) he gets to see the ANIMALS! I never thought I would be that close to a real live tiger. There is allot of new magic in the show. However, there are some too familiar tricks like the folding box with swords in it. I think everyone out there does it. But, they built a production around it with sets, dancing, costumes I find it to be the best I ever saw. Well I really don't want to give away any more. I would recommend that if you get a chance you need to see this show! I now know why everyone told me to go see it. It's beyond words and you will not be disappointed. |
