I hav just got hold of a fire can which I plan to use for a little parlour magic, but being a little short on imagination cannot think what to use firstly as a dry load (I didn't fancy silks as I have a silk thing going on elsewhere), and then how to deal with the liquid load?
Can any one help.....thanks |

I poured out half of the liquid load (colored water); pulled out the dray load (streamers and mouth coils); then pured out the rest of the liquid.

It really depends on what sort of routine you want to do. I have used black sand(as the dry load), claiming it was ashes of something I put in there earlier, but had forgotten about. Then I produced water claiming that all the heat from the flames made me thirsty.
You could also produce a little toy bird, claiming it was a Phoenix born from the ashes. You could pour out heaps of dry matches, or even a few matchboxes. Like they say in the instructions...the possibilities are endless! |

Is it possible to stick a fake bird (foam dove or the like) in the can, have it burst into flames "unexpectedly" and then pour "ashes" from the can (as Harlequin mentioned)? LOL Just a thought for a comedy routine...or maybe you can turn it into a slimy, gooey substance that will ooze from the can complete with guts and a couple of bird eyes . Good luck!
