Then say no more! Amazon is proud to announce Vent Puppet Shoulder Pads!
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M9I......F8&psc=1 I was looking for something to stop the turtle-ing of my Ed Nerd Vent Puppet and tried a few things with mixed results before I saw this on Amazon. Pads are light weight and do not interfere with manipulations. 'Sam' looks rather dashing now in his 3 piece suit. Originally a football costume for a child but works great with puppets too.
I still recall the day I met Beaker from the Muppets. He said to me "Meep, meep, mee mee mee Meep!", and that has made all the difference.

Thanks for posting this. I was going to reshape my figure's shoulders but for $15 I'll try these.

It works great. It does not add any real weight so he's not top heavy (other than his head) and looks smart in his 3 piece suit.

I'm using the shoulder pads now, and I like the new look. I removed the plastic parts because they made him look like the Hulk. I kept just the fiberboard support system. It makes his shoulders less wimpy. (I attached a pic but it didn't go through)

Glad it worked for you. I left the plastic in as it makes him fill out his suit better. I'll try to post some before and after pictures later today.

Https://i.imgur.com/lsSg5RE.jpg hoping this links to before and after photo. The difference isn't huge but I think he looks better. Left is the after picture. Right is before.

He doesn't look bulky with the shoulder pads. With just a turtleneck shirt Dodger looked like he was dressed for football.

Once I start manipulating him his turtle neck goes away, and with the reinforced torso his body doesn't lurch so much.
