Ok, I'm trying to see if this can pan out.
I want to start volunteering at a local assisted living home doing magic. I'm trying to work on actual sleight of hand, and that's going to take a bit of time as I'm trying to get back into good habits again, but for the time being, I do have a good amount of performable Tenyo for a sort of close-up/strolling environment. I know transporting Tenyo can get bulky. I understand this, it's unavoidable, I'm accounting for this. From what I understand, the audience can vary wildly in this environment. Big factors seem to be: memory, vision, strength (if you have any magic that's hands on). It seems that trick selection comes down to how big or how visual it is, how easy it is to follow, and colorful if you can help it. Here's what I have at the moment and am considering. I've only done a few shows for kids parties that went over well, so experience isn't quite there, but I want to work on it. - Big Mac Cubio - Magic Butterfly - Tiny Rings (working on making it smoother) - Burglar Ball - Soft Coins - Ultraslice - Zone Infinity - Shrinking Pen - Wonder Lamp/(bulb from Ghost Lamp) - Mysterious Doghouse - Disney Miracle Ring I'm thinking of getting: - Trisector - Perpetual Puzzle - Sword Reward - Dice Hopper Am considering: - Moons of Jupiter (super expensive, but could it work here?) - Fadeaway Case (another expensive one, but could it work?) - New Koornwinder Kar (using the color cards from Mentalist Blindfold) Any ideas? Suggestions? |
