Is Judy the Mouse (or a reasonable substitute mouse puppet) available anymore? If so, can someone recommend an outlet for buying one?

Dan Garrett has put on DVD some great moves with Judy and Ian Adair has written a great booklet (published by Sam Dalal) on her, both well worth checking out when you find a new Judy.

Is that the finger puppet that runs up the arm? Randy Rain sells them. You can probably doctor up a regular mouse finger puppet by sewing up the back and opening up a hole in the tummy area for a finger.

Randi Rain sells a mouse more like "Marmaduke," the inspiration for the Squirmel.

Judy the Mouse is more closely related to Rocky Raccoon. I can't seem to find Judy anywhere.

Daytona Magic carries a product called "Finger Mouse Puppet" that looks like it might be similar to Judy the Mouse.

I made a few from cat toys I got at a pet shop and thumb tips, simply remove to stuffing, push it on to the TT, of course don't forget the glue. Then using a simple thimble move, it vanishes and your ending clean. I made 4 for about 6 bucks.

The Original Judy's were made by Magic Masters ( the same people who made Rocky The Raccoon); they are no longer in business therefore Judy in no longer available. There are many alternatives as can be seen in the previous post; although the original is still the best.

Correct, Mr. Gallo. Magic Masters had a warehouse of seamstresses who made the spring animals (Rocky Raccoon, Jules the Fox, skunk, rabbit, etc. and "Judy" the Mouse). These ladies worked solid 8-hour days to keep up with the demand. I sold the mice for many years, probably numbering in the thousands. Sadly, the Magic Masters shops and warehouse went out of business when Ken Fletcher, the creator and owner of the franchise, retired. Even more sadly, Ken was my friend, and he passed away quietly just last week. His dream, which he achieved, was to add a lot of class and a better first impression of magic and magic shops to the new magic hobbyist.

Murphy's has the original Judy mouse by magic masters listed so most magic shops should have it or can get it

Judy Has Brown Hair.

Maybe available in White.

I guess you will have to ask.

White shows better.

After all Judy escaped from the testing lab.

The magic masters Judy mouse is very well made and looks fairly realistic especially when animating it. Dan Garret teaches a very good handling of Judy mouse

Another option is to fold a napkin mouse, right in front of everyone, which can turn so many of the same moves.

Obviously it just depends on what type of routine you want.

I've been taking white baby socks, and with the aid of a couple of red or black beads for eyes, a bit of white felt for ears, and a pinkish elastic band for a tail, I have been making my own puppet mice for quite some time now. It's good not to have to depend on anyone but yourself for your props. "Made-It-Myself" is the best attitude.

So I don't disappoint the trolls on the Café, there are directions in Spellbinder's "The Big Cheese" in The Wizards' Journal #18, as well as directions for cheesy props and cages, and mouse routines for both live and puppet mice and using them so spectators can't tell which are alive and which are clever fékes.
