Could this hankerchief hold a small plate?

The website shows the two polka dot variations and the red and the purple , but other colors are listed.
I'd like to see photos of the other colors available, especially the "Blue Paisley". http://www.wack-o-magic.com/devilshank.html |

I find it usual that anyone would want a devil's hank this big. My standard size is more that of a pocket square though I have made 24" square ones on request. It seems to me that anything that needs this big of area to be hidden in could be better vanished in another way. 30" is the size of a large production silk.

Anyone ever try to make a DH out of a bandana? Wrong material?
I could see myself carrying around a bandana and it not being an odd thing. |

Depends on what you want to make vanish!! I've always hated the joker box that came with the stratosphere... the large devil's hank is perfect for this.. the no sag feature makes the ball invisible... it can also hold a full size baseball, a banana, a cell phone and more without any bulges or tell tale sags.
There is no wrong material... but most cotton bandanas in the store are quite thin... you want something that isn't translucent. This is utility item... there is no one good use... But don't poo poo it when you all of a sudden need to make something vanish and don't want to use a box.. |

I recently bought a black giant Devil's Handkerchief from Wack-O-Magic and it is just perfect for what I wanted. I am using it for the Mona Lisa jigsaw puzzle trick. The Devil's Hank is being used as a tablecloth for my small square-topped table. Some duplicate pieces are in the "section" - just enough to allow the cloth to sit flat on the table. I have the regular pieces in an ordinary puzzle box and tip them all out onto the table. I can have the spectator confirm that all the pieces are different. I then just gather up the corners of the cloth and have the spectator reach in and grab a piece. I then place the cloth back on the table and the spectator can see that all the remaining pieces are different. I make no mention of the cloth - I just gather up the corners while talking about the free choice the spectator is going to make and that this way I won't be able to see the chosen piece. It works beautifully - much better than having the pieces in a separate bag, I think. The spectators remember that the pieces were in a regular puzzle box and that you tipped them out for a free choice. This giant size Devil's Hank is a really useful thing to have in your arsenal and is only limited by your imagination. A great prop!
