I like the concept of Eye Exam, but find that the multiple phases get a bit monotonous. When I first saw it, I almost forgot the original card I chose. It's a good effect but I think I'd have to toy around with it a bit and find my own handling.

I just think the kicker ending in eye exam is a killer.

And instead of doing that in your hands as with NFW the change happens in the hand of the spectator that makes it much stronger. No one mentioned Corner of Picadilly which is my new favourite trick. It is from Paul Gordon and you can see the demo video on my website. Wow. No gimmicked cards, you can even fool magicians (some) and you end up clean!!

Do Twisted Sisters and follow with B wave and Entourage. You have a Queens routine and can get about 8 minutes. Knowing that the majority of women choose the Queen of Hearts, I keep a card silk in my pocket as a potential follow up

Oddly enough this thread resurrected my twisted sisters out of one of my storage containers. I forgot how much I like this effect.

Card-Shark mentioned it and I will have to second "Corner of Picadilly." It has become my favorite monte routine. Skinner's Ultimate 3-card monte is a very close second.

I had ordered "Corner of Picadilly" because of my love for monte effects (speaking of which anyone have an idea of shipping time, approximate) Also I have to say I just got Entourage and absolutely love this one as well.

I have had great reactions from Backflip by Sam Schwartz. Daryl presents and explains it in vol 3 of the Fooler Doolers DVD.
Backflip is a routine like Twisting the Aces where the Kings turn face down one at a time - but they also change backs (e.g. from blue to red). And for the finale they turn to mirror back cards - very strong climax. Daryl does not say how to make the mirror backs, but in a thread here at the Café, some one mentioned Monokote chrome trim sheets which work great and are cheap - you can get them at some hobby shops (original use is to layer chrome onto model airplane wings). BTW, I put 4 regular mirror back kings in a Z fold wallet (from Michael Ammar's site) and switch them out at the very end - greatly amusing to see the specs try to slide the cards around to get them to change colors

I considered doing Color Monte w/ standard cards, but have to wonder... spectators knows there is only one of each card in a deck of cards (except jokers). Does anyone find that it weakens the effect showing two copies(?) of the same card? I suspect this is why the original color monte is as it is.

The joker is shown twice, which of course addresses the issue that you mention, because people understand that there are 2 jokers in a pack & thus does not look suspicious. The kicker card is the ace of spades.
