Mike was a pillar of the NYC magic environment.
He was supportive to us newbies in the 1970s and was just as giving till he was taken from us last week. If you have the chance, he has surviving family and it might be nice to show some support by also buying his money magic book. And if you'd like to remember the guy, his floating bill is something worth carrying in your wallet.

This truly is a big loss to the magic community. I had a chance to hang out with Mike at the LVMI convention this year, and he truly was a prince of a guy. I really enjoyed his stuff when I got back into magic in the late 80's. I used to carry his one & five transposition with me all the time. It was a great item to keep in your wallet all the time. He had a lot of fun visual magic and I for one will really miss him and his magic.
Jon, Do you have any idea how to order the book from the family. I spoke to him about getting it at LVMI, but he didn't have any with him. I would LOVE to get my hands on a copy. |

Even though I am 44 years of age, I am fairly new to magic (about 3 years). I met Mike 2 years ago at an IBM Ring 26 meeeting and we had lunch a couple of times. He was always friendly and helpful. And he was most definitely a New York character.
Thanks for the memories and the insights, Mike! Jimmy
