Where is a good place to buy soft rope at a good price. Can you buy soft rope at a store other than a magic shop?

Thank you.

There are many places, most online magic shops sell them, as well as real magic shops to.
You know you are a magician when you have boxes full of lecture notes you have never read, but still are excited about going out and buying more.

Braided cotton rope can be found at many different types of stores. Just go shopping around. You can core it yourself if you want but it's really not necessary for nearly all applications.

Hardware stores and craft stores usually have a wide range. Also look at piping cord, if you are in a craft store, but make sure it isn't the soft rope that is twisted up, because it will become unravellined in your tricks, and be unusable after a short while

As a new rope magician, what's the purpose of coring rope, and for what sorts of routines is that necessary or helpful?

Coring makes the rope more workable and not as stiff. Allows better movement. Its not always necessary but makes the rope more friendly.

Has anyone worked with the Magician's EuroRope from Empire Magic? You can find the rope on this web page: http://www.empiremagic.com/docs/rope20.html

I'm particularly interested in the 5/8" rope.
