Hi,
I am looking for the realistic looking shrunken head (jivaro head) or anything like old rotten death body (maybe from latex or polyster?) or any old and weird death body gaff, like mummy etc. Anybody can help me where I can find it? thanks. |

You can contact Doug Higley. He is a member of this board.
His website is http://home.nethere.net/darkrider/LIONPO~1/Dark_Museum.html If you look in this very area you will see a discussion on his latest work, "Dark Museum" which utilizes a shrunken head that he created. |

Mr. ssucahyo had already contacted me last week and I explained to him about 'latex' not being good for his climate of heat and humidity...he had mentioned he has rubber mummies that have rotted. I don't use latex or rubber of any kind...it just doesn't last.
ssucahyo...if you will contact me again with what you are after and what you will use it for, I can aim you to the proper place to get it. There are 'heads' available that are inexpensive and made from goat skin...but they stink to high heaven. On display under glass, it won't matter. There are numerous suppliers of Dead Body parts etc. that sell to Haunted House attractions etc. But they use Rubber as well for the most part...and rubber LOOKS like rubber, which is why there is a difference between a prop to be used as a fake scare or a prop that will FOOL the eye and look realistic under full light. Some of the Halloween stuff you can find looks fantastic however in the right lighting. I'm assuming you don't want to spend that much either, so I would recommend just doing a google search for Halloween props. Doug

Here are two fantastic pages chock full of Halloween links, projects, vendors, etc.
If you can't find what you're looking for starting from these two pages, well.. it doesn't exist. http://wolfstone.halloweenhost.com/commo......ces.html .. and the most extensive, awesome link collection of Halloween sites on the Internet: http://markbutler.8m.com/monsterlist.htm This page is so awesome, I almost feel like I'm giving away a great secret
Just hanging out with the rest of my fellow dregs.

Doug is the way to go for this kind of thing. If you want other choices, check out these:
http://www.shrunken-head.com/ http://www.salangome.com/shrunken_head.asp There's also work that can be done to make the cheaper ones look better. Todd |

Unfortunately Todd..there's not a good way to make them smell better...especially when they get warm. Goat Butt.
salangome has the good heads for the money...go for their better quality. I don't do Heads anymore except for the Dark Museuim Ensemble...where the head becomes a 'player' in the story and is thus a 'star'. Otherwise they are just a thing to hang around amongst other 'things', an accessory so to speak. Beside the Dark Museum...I prefer to do exhibits and props that have more of an affect on the viewer as a Single-O rather than an accessory. I've only done Heads when asked to add one onto an order for a Feegee or Mummy or something. Todd...I know you 'get it'. Doug
