I received a set of MM cups yesterday, but it didn't come with the vinyl pouch. I was trying to find a suitable bag to carry these and remembered I had an extra camerea lens bag/pouch. It was for a 105mm micro - turns out it fit perfectly! So if you are looking for a *nice* pouch for your cups (mine is leather with a soft lining, check out your local camera shop for used lens pouches, or eBay.

Good idea! On another thread here at the Café, someone recommended bags from a place called tarrottotes.com. They had lots of great designs. I ordered a velvet bag with silver moons and stars for my cups and balls. I was very happy with that purchase.

I manage a multimedia facility (photo, video and graphics). I had my set of cups in a lens bag on my desk. One of my employees came in while I was out and thought he was borrowing a lens. His shoot didn't turn out too well (taught him not to borrow without asking AND to look at what he is getting).
May your cups stay shiny and your balls stay dry...(bad pun, sorry) David Bilan

It's a tough job - but someone's got to do it!
I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three. Elayne Boosler

Magic Inc., sold the Charlie Miller cups in a photo lens case. My Paul Fox cups fit perfectly in a nice leather shoe shine kit. You'd think it was custom made for it.

I second the idea for a crown royal bag. I found a doctor's bag years ago at an antique stand. The bag was in so-so shape, but inside was a treasure. A black leather zippered pouch, used for a syringe. In fact, inside was a dirty rusty syringe, which I quickly disposed of and had the bag cleaned and oiled. Holds a normal set of cups beautifully. But my Riser mini cups have the coolest case. A small velvet pouch with the Ghiradelli chocolate logo on it. It was a gift filled with 4 or 5 chocolate bars. It's neat, but I feel bad when I use it. I grew up in and still live about 20 minutes from Hershey, PA.

If there is an old camera store in your city, look for a lens case there. I recently found several for $1.00 to $2.00 each.
Unfortunately, I don't have a set of Nikon or Konica cups.

Pier 1 has various boxes that have been "aged" that fit my Gazzo's perfectly. The box itself is unlined and a bit heavy, but certainly up to the task of storage and protection. Come to think of it, I DO have an old Nikon 200mm zoom lens case... thanks for the tip!
Sometimes I thing God made Pier 1 just for us magicians. (bowing head in reverence) tom |
