Anyone know how the Complete Palmo Routine from Laflin Magic is? Does their DVD on the Palmo teach this routine? How long does it run for? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
You know you are a magician when you have boxes full of lecture notes you have never read, but still are excited about going out and buying more.

Palmo is a must have gimmick for all magicians. Your investment will be rewarded. I believe the routine is a copy of the famous color changing silk routine with a funny exposurer that is not an exposure.

Easter is here and the stores have plastic Easter eggs available. Some make great homemade palmo balls! (You have a friend that seldom ever uses a metal one! Metal ones can ruin good silks. It's a secret.)

I have Lafflin's DVD. Although no single dvd could cover all possible uses, I think this one comes close.

Buy the set dvd w/ball

Hi Bob,

When I first started magic a magician friend showed me how to make a palmo out of a ping pong ball. It worked great. An American Nickel is about the correct size for the holes.

I find the supplier is Viking Magic for the current Palmo's on the market. It seems he is on other projects and not supplying to dealers. I know a dealer that has been waiting for 6 months for a supply.

A clear or black plastic film canister works great.....

There are also some film cans that are flesh colored.

The shape of the ping pong ball has a natural curve that helps keep the silk in the device. Canisters need additional tape and you have to turn the cans end for end to accomplish the change back.

Interesting! I have only ever come across the clear or black ones and covered them when necessary with surgical band.

I regularly take vitamin C and the cannister that these come in is even bigger and perfect for a large load of five or six 18" silks, or 24" diamond cuts.

The flesh colored film cans were used for high speed (asa 1600) color print film I used when I worked newspaper. It was made by Kodak.
