I've worked with Jason and John, obviously, as well as the zany Simon Lovell, Jan Crosby from Norway, Romaine from Canada, Keone from Hawaii, the exceptionally talented Ben Salinas and John Blake, casino great Sal Piacente, magic's friendliest teacher Gerry Griffin and the master of toppiting, Carl Cloutier...to name a few.
Each has a unique style, but all of these guys have what it takes to impress. My production company no longer produces magic DVDs, but you won't be disappointed by work from any of these professionals.

Rob Stiff? Is that you???

I just posted a in depth review of this 3 volume DVD set at http://www.coinvanish.com. My website is for coin magic, so my reviews focus on the coin material. For completeness I did describe the card and flourish stuff as well. Those who are interested can go take a peek. I enjoyed the DVDs.

Dan's a great voice for reason. He'll look at the effect for what it is and review it on a professional level.

Let me be clear about one thing... I am not a big Magic Makers fan. From reading the threads about all the rip offs, etc. I am convinced they are of dubius ethics... I don't get into this stuff at all in my reivew.

The focus of my review of Cutting Edge Cards and Coins was not about Rob Stiff or Magic Makers, I kept it focused on the specific content of the DVDs.

I really enjoyed disk 2 - excellent stuff - actually a nice 3 dvd set to have

I have to get myself a copy of John Born’s book now after being introduced to his way of coin thinking

I forgot to mention shooting with the jolly Marty Grams and the less than jolly Randy Wakeman...Anyway, the coin work from the J-team is the best I've ever witnessed. If you master John's BQM Matrix and Jason's Trans-knee-cation you will slaughter a lay audience and wow other magicians. I say these things because its the truth. I do not recieve any commision for DVDs sold, but they are money well spent.

These DVDs have ALOT of excellent material. Just the Trans-Knee-Cation is worth the price to me. The flourishes are just that; flourishy moves, designed to enhance the magical experience of your audience and show that you have some serious skill with the pasteboards.
John and Jason are great people and the DVDs should be rated on the material and how magical it looks (that IS our goal as magicians), not by what anyone thinks of the guy who produced it, or filmed it, or shrink-wrapped it, or how much you hate the mailman that delivered it to your house.
And, for the record, the Captain and his crew were wonderful to work with. Smile

I do dislike the guy that shrink wraped it. That Fu&*ing moron was getting on my last nerve. No just messing around

Great point Ben. You cant judge by the production company. What are you never going to buy an L&L video again just because they use the same 30 people as spectators. Come on, that has nothing to do with the artist or the material on the dvd. Ben made a great point and it should be taken well.

Was Mr. Wakeman not an enjoable person to work with?

First...thanks for the support Ben "Silliness". We had some great fun and you amazed us with your magic. Secondly, Wakeman and my crew had some professional differences of opinion, which does not discount his abilities as a magician or performer...and lastly, this post is about the J-team. Get these DVDs, you won't be disappointed.

I just received and watched this DVD set and am very pleased with it. I has a lot of innovative material and I especially love John's teaching of the balance palm and layover material. It has stuff I will really enjoy using (after much practice). I was pleased by the low price for a 3 DVD set also. Two big thumbs up from me!

It's just needed for a few of the coin effects. I wish I could recommend one to you, but I'm shopping around for a [ as well.

I don't have this dvd, but the one hand card trick on the demo looks amazing. Can anyone with this dvd tell me if this trick is a knuckle buster? I must admit I'm not much of a card fan, but this is one of the few card tricks that appeals to me.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
