I know I'm a bit biased when I say that "Rick Maue is a freakn genius". Let's face it, he's a very dear friend and thus, some of you may not trust my judgement because of that relationship. Nonetheless, great minds do think alike and Rick's most recent contribution to the magic world is AWESOME!
THE FINAL PICTURE is a masterpiece of true Mentalism. Though it comes with a nifty "device" the routine can be done "clean" and impromptue (and I do mean, without anything prepared in advance, no gimmicks in your pockets, etc.) Several months ago Rick shared this concept with me in order to gain some "true to life" feedback. I've performed it a few dozen times and the audience reaction is exceptional. It does not come off as a "trick" but as a genuine psychic miracle (or psychological miracle, for those not into the esoteric side of things.) Like everything Rick puts out, the price is far below the value. You get numerous routine ideas around this and another effect employing ESP cards that's just as bewildering. Rick also goes the extra nine-yards, delivering some sound food for thought about how these effects can be presented and why. The lecture alone is worthy of the price asked (in my opinion, but then, I love philosophy...) Bottom line, check out DECEPTIONS UNLIMITED and reserve your copy. It's the best placed, most practical $35.00 you will probably invest this year! |

Thanks for the information on Rick's new release. BTW, any news on when Occam's Magic will be published?

What is the difference between "Final Picture" and the first version of this effect, "Terasabos", which is explanied in his "Book of Haunted Magick"?

I've even used TERASABOS first and followed it up with the impromptue version of SABARET (the other name for THE FINAL PICTURE). Too, Rick has included a neat bit using ESP Cards. I'm not a big fan of cards or using the Rhine symbols (Zener Cards) but this is a very cool piece of work that's super simple. The two pieces lending to the resourceful performer a solid ten minutes of impossible material to work with that's bound to create the kind of stir in the gathered group, that can only be termed as being sound PR. |

The beauty of TFP is that it is done with one spectator choosing the location of the object and another spectator locating the object. SABAROSET/TFP uses four cups instead of five, and Rick includes several variations and suggestions for presentation so that it may be performed in a number of situations under some very tight performing conditions. I've seen it performed several times for a lay audience, and the response is great.
To the person asking about Occam's, Rick is working on the final edit, but has had some time delays with the final edit. Life gets in the way of work sometimes, and Rick won't release anything that doesn't meet his personal high-quality standard. That being said, I'm looking forward to "the final product" as much as everybody else. handa |

Greetings,
Thanks for the nice words you guys. The Final Picture is finally arriving in shops, and so far, I have received very good comments from those that have purchased it directly through us. I look forward to hearing any other thoughts about it. As for Occam's Magic, it has been delayed quite a bit due to health problems, but it will be showing up in the near future. However, our next goal is to get The Book Of Spirits Séance completed within the next few weeks. It looks as though The BOSS should be ready to ship (at least the Domestic US version) by the week of March 18th. Thanks again. Keep the change, Rick |

Rick Maue's The Final Picture is a real winner! It's a "doer". I'm as excited about it as I've been about any performance piece in a long time. Rick supplies a non-gimmick something that you'll carry in your pocket for the rest of your performing days. Bravo Rick!

The Final Picture is indeed an item of utter beauty. I wouldn't hesitate to use this in my professional performances and I'm fairly fastidious when it comes to adding new material to my repertoire.
