Danny Hustle, Koz, could you go to an "unkown" city and start working? What if it wasn't a touristy city? Could you just start on a corner and make it? How would you approach this?
You guys ROCK!

Yes, but I might go to jail.
I don't think you could do a small town for very long but could work a big city for a long time, I think. You sometimes have to develop your own pitch. Find a busy area that has some private property and work it out with the owner. |

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the kind words. As long as it was legal, I don't see why not. That is the great thing about busking. The work is where you get it. If one place doesn't work out, there is another right across the town line. I know Kozmo and Gazzo broke in a new town here on the Massachusetts coast last season. Koz hated it, but Gazzo said it was okay. As long as the police don't hassle you, you can work anywhere. Brother Paul's lecture notes give you a pretty close to surefire way to walk into any bar or small pub and do a show with the management's permission! It is an amazing way to make a living to be sure. I also just found out that the entire city of Boston has just opened up to buskers. It is no longer just Fanny Hall. That should make for an interesting and profitable season to be sure! Best, Dan- "MT is one of the reasons we started this board! Hey Koz,
It wouldn't just be that way in a small town. Man, you are kind of guy who risks going to jail, in every city you walk into... I think any decent busker could at least keep from starving in just about any old place. But why do you think they are more buskers in the bigger cities? It is just like the Bank robber who was arrested for the 30th time for robbing a bank. They asked him why he still robs banks. He said it plainly, Because that's where the money is! Bigger cities means more people. More people means more money. BroDavid

His rope routine is to die for as well for a street worker. The CD-ROM package is a great deal. Tell him I sent you. Best, Dan- "MT is one of the reasons we started this board! I just ordered the CDRom, that is a good deal, three effects plus performing video. You cant get that in a book (except an eBook).
And I told him I bought it, in spite of what Danny Hustle says about it. No not really, I am a terrible liar. That's one reason why I don't do it anymore (on purpose) anyway, I said I bought it on Danny Hustle's recommendation. The commission checks should be rolling in soon, Danny. BroDavid

Ha!
Thanks, Bro. I don't get commission on anything I plug. If I believe in it I plug it, and I like to let the author know I believe in it too. I got the CD Rom as well. Looks like some great teaching material. I too would advise others to consider Danny Hustle's advice when looking to buy something of value.

I just got my copy of Gazzo's "The Art of Krowd Keeping" book. WOW. IT is beautifully written and chock full of valuable information on hitting the streets.
Gazzo only uses about four effects. Silk, two cards and his cups-and-balls. And here some of us go around buying every new trick that comes out. GET THIS BOOK!: http://www.magicpitch.com/catalog/produc......cts_id=4 Why is he called Gazzo? The book doesn't say.

I just got the DVD too. Maybe you do need some sort of commission.

Danny, thanks for the site. I called and ordered the CD. Mentioned your name, and he didn't sound surprised that it was you sending him business. You must be one of his top sales people. I am looking forward to getting it and starting to use some of what he teaches.

Ok...Ok... Ok... I'll start sending the checks Danny.
Thanks for the plug about the CD Danny. The whole idea was to lighten the load when I'm traveling and doing lectures. Those manuscripts get heavy, and I have to ship them ahead. I got the CD idea from Martin Lewis when we were doing a convention together in Minneapolis, MN a couple of years ago. Since then it has been a life saver. For all of you who have ordered the CD from Danny's recommendation, thanks for the business. But the most important thing is to read the information, apply it in your life and shows, make some money and have some fun. I've been doing this for the last 30 or so years and I'm not done yet. There is something special about building a theater anywhere you want and make some cash and then decide to stay or move on. It still makes me happy and laugh inside when I count down at the end of the night. I also give thanks for it all. I count every penny, write it down and feel the energy that they have given back to me for what I have shared with them. It's a good exchange. It's a nightly ritual that I wouldn't trade for the world. Danny and Mario, thanks once again for making me feel at home here and the kind words about my work. I look forward to a continued relationship for as long as this lasts. I don't get up here as much as I want to, but I'll do what I can. This is a great form. So much information and good stuff at that. I hope to run into some of you as our paths cross. If anyone is looking for a lecture just drop me a line at: paul@brotherpaulmagic.com. It's time to give back what was so graciously given to me. |

Hey Guys,
I took Danny's advice and bought Brother Paul's CD. I want to say it is no good and that way I could keep the information he has to myself. I read the PDF files and looked at the movie files, then tried out one of the tricks he teaches. Followed what he had written about how to do some easy busking. I received the CD on Saturday. It took all of an hour to learn two of the effects he teaches and went out and tried his busking method this afternoon, Monday. Just goofing around and picked up $50 in about an hour and a half on a MONDAY AFTERNOON. This is a great CD and already paid for itself. Wait until next weekend when I really try his method. At least $500 in two evenings is easy. Peter |

Funny, I thought Gazzo was Gary Osborne.
