I am interested in getting an appearing sword but am not sure about the quality. I have seen the Chinese appearing sword for $36.00 http://www.themagicwarehouse.com and a Deluxe Appearing sword from The Trickery for $95.00 http://www.thetrickery.com Is there a difference? Is the quality difference worth the price? Any help would be great.

In my opinion, the Chinese version is only appropriate for stage use, otherwise you risk exposure. I don't know about the other version.

These are Tai Chi practice swords. You can get these at many martial art supply stores. You shouldn't pay much over forty dollars for one. I use these in my show at fairly close range as they are a lead in to my 10 foot pole production and are used more for their surprising withdrawl from a small bag than a mysterious appearance. These are also good to use for a mock sword swallowing effect.
