"Impromptu Magic from the Magic Castle" 1980, First edition.
Anyone else have this book? If so what was your favourite effect from it?

I have it. A lot of little gems in there. I haven't looked at it in a few years, I should give it another once over. My favorite is Lazy Magician. It is credited to John Fedko, but I believe it is an Al Koran effect.

I found my copy at a local used book store along with "The magic of Matt Schulien". Quite the find for a used book store. I have to give it another look to see what effects I can come across, I really enjoy going through older material. I also found it rather interesting to see contributions from Steve Martin.
