Sometime ago I saw a cute black magician's hat made out of velvet and when you turned it upside down you could put your hand in from the bottom (top) you had a little hand puppet coming up from inside the hat. Where can I find one?
thank, Jeff

I actually saw one at the Crown Center Shops in a store called Zoom. They are also sometimes seen in magic stores.

You might check www.allmagicguide

This is a great source for props.

IMHO puppets are great when combined with magic. Nigel and the other Nearly Normal Puppets help sell the show as well as make it more interesting for our audiences.

You might consider the "play" with your hand going in the back versus the bottom of the hat.

Does anyone use the Folkman puppet in their show? It looks quite nice in the photos but is it as good as the other puppets? I thought it might be more of a toy designed for small hands.

Hi Andrew: I bought a Folkman "Rabbit in Hat" puppet, but I don't use it. You must put you hand through the bottom of the hat, and that's a disadvantage for me. I have an old version of the "Rabbit in the Hat" which works great--the back of the hat is used for access to the puppet. Marty

I think "one way's" rabbit in the hat is the best.

I will confess the real star of my show is my rabbit in the hat. I think if I had 1 thing to do and only 1 thing for kids this would be it. It is the fav for adults in the show too. after EVERY show I hear how they enjoyed that part the best..
