Does anyone know if they make this trick? If so, where can I get it?

Hi:

I've not heard of this. There is a rope effect/routine by Dan Garrett called "Professor's Daydream" - are you refering to that?

It's his handling of the professor's nightmare routine.

I could of sworn that it started out like the Professor Nightmare. At the end, it ends like it was one piece.

If you are talking about "Professor's Nightmare" then you can make the right length ropes yourself.

In Daryl's dvds, there are both. Professor's Nightmare AND Professor's Daydream.

It is called Professor's Dream. In this trick, it starts out like Professor's Nightmare, but in the end it becomes one long rope. Hank Lee's Magic Factory sells it for $40. Their website is: http://www.magicfact.com. They are a good company to buy from. I bought this trick a couple of months ago and just put it into my show last Friday. When the ropes visually mend together in mid-air the audience goes CRAZY. So it is a really good trick. I would recomended it anyone.

Sounds a bit like patriotic ropes.

I have used this rope routine and usually get a great respones, but I have trouble with the *M_ _ _ _ T* gimmick ends connect together too soon once in a while during the routine, any suggestions to prevent this?

You don't need gimmicks to do Prof Dream. It isn't new, been around for many years, and it is an ending for Prof Nightmare.

If you don't use any gimmicks, how do you get them all connected again?

I have developed a new routine with the Japan's original Professor's Dream rope:
http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseac......13596971

This routine includes:

1. Melting knot

2. Separate loop

3. 2 ropes (small and long) - becomes equal length and will join to 1 ultimate rope.

4. Linking ropes

5. 3 ropes (small, medium and long) - becomes equal length and will join to 1 rope

6. Create bigger loops with many Professor's Dream ropes.

There are "knock off copies" from Europe:
http://www.magicunlimited.com/NewvsOriginal.htm

The rope is not as soft and the magnet is not as strong (may deterioriate over time). The Europe versions come from Germany and Hungary (MagicCenterJupiter.com or Jupiter Magic). The "knock off" copies have stolen the exact title "Professor's Dream" with the instructions but the rope and magnet is not from Tokyo, Japan. The "knock off" copies will not perform like the original and do not have these new performing ideas. The originals now come in a green cover box. The "knock offs" were distributed from Mak Magic and sold thru Hank Lee and Bob Little.

I am trying to develop a new Hawaiian themed routine with spring flowers, quick change and ropes with the original Professor's Dream.

I call it the Hawaii 5-0 routine since next year will be our 50th anniversary since statehood.

Help me critique these acts as it evolves:
