While not a bizzarest myself, I was just wondering if anyone has created any effects based on the short stories in Clive Barkers' Books of Blood?

I read a lot of Barker and the Books of Blood contains one story I would love to utilise: "Confession of a Pornographer's Shroud" , It would be a bit like a giant Glorpy I guess! All you would need is a bedsheet and a method.
'though it stands to reason that a samurai should be mindful of the Way...it would seem that we are all negligent.

The image of two barrels of monkeys duking it out might be worth exploring.

The image in one of his stories of a thousand living hands. All on the limbs on a tree flutter fingers like birds.
maybe the production of one severed hand would be interesting but hundreds of hands filling the stage. Judge Bean Keith |

JudgeBean, you just gave me a wicked idea for an outside decoration this Halloween.
(My favorite holiday, can you tell ?) I'm gonna go and buy about 2 dozen "severed" arms and hands and plant them all sticking straight up out of the ground, in the garden along the frontside of my house. That'll make a hell of a "how do you do" for the lil' trick or treaters !! Some of 'em will wiggle their fingers too ! ( I should think about an underground power adapter network of some kind though, batteries get expensive)

I always liked the little blurb about it: We are all books of blood because whenever we are opened... we are read (red).

Nice idea Azreal, but common infrared based motion sensors aren't really selective or consistent enough probably, unless I spaced them out farther apart.
I was also thinking of the movie "Motel Hell"; just "mount" a bunch of stryofoam wig stands in the ground, and cover them with with paper bags. Maybe even put a few masks on the closest ones, for the brave and curious. Sorry, back on topic now !
