Daryl seems pretty sensible about the sleights he uses and how he routines tricks. This is usually NOT considered a beginner's trick. If you've worked through basics, the required sleights should be within your abilities.

I hope Daryl puts it on video soon.

From recollection, Daryl's routine was extremely similar to R. Paul Wilson's version which is on video. Daryl's adds a coin to pocket ending to clean up.

I recently went to the British Magical Society's Centenary Convention where Daryl performed his 3 fly 111 effect to perfection. It looked very magical. The package I bought from him included a booklet, practice poker chips and an instructional dvd which is superb. It's the next best thing to personal tuition.
The sleights used are not difficult but the opening sequence is a bit awkward. I personally felt a shuttle pass would be more natural for the opening sequence for myself, but to be fair, I've only been practicing it for a couple of weeks.
Although the routine does not require difficult sleights, it does deserve proper practice time to get things smooth and natural.

Me too, Am interested in the dvd. I have been doing R. Paul Wilson's work from Knock E'm Dead and would like to see Daryl's new touches.

Honestly, there are not many "new" touches from the Daryl routine. It is merely an almagamation of effects, most notably Wilson's "Scottish Fly". In fact Wilson's ending, while not as clean as Daryl's, is much more magical.

Exactly! Smile I've come up with a neat little thing of my own to end my CA routine cleanly, but it won't be appearing in any manuscripts in the near future. It involves one too many "moves" for my taste right now, so I've made "fixing" it into an exercise in creativity for myself.

You might be amazed at what a key reel at your belt and a small bulldog clip can do for you. A LONG time ago I used to re-purpose my ring-flites to this task.

I totally agree. that's actually what I'm doing for the moment. It works a charm. I also attached a reel to the Ammar Clip, and its equally great.

You really love to take risks..
A reel and f.ex. 4 Silver$s in a clip ?
Even a small bulldog clip most certainly is too heavy for a reel.
Consider the weight..I don't even try, but I predict a disaster Smile
Good luck to those wasting their time on stuff like this.. Smile

For the benefit of those who don't visit hardware stores often...

There are 24, 36 and 48 inch chain reels for your keys. They ordinarily clip to your belt. Very handy things. Feel free to replace the chain with strong fishing line.

I've them all...no kidding..had those *key*-reels for a long time.
None can handle a bulldog with 4 Silver4$ Smile , $s are simply to heavy.

Yes, there are other ways to end "clean." I personally would not recommend the Daryl version, as it takes the trick from a coins across to a coin through pocket with absolutly no reason. Ok, there really is a reason, and the reason is that it makes the trick easier. I'd recommend not taking the easy way out. Smile

The Kenner and Wilson routines are always my recommendations.

As I got my dvd from daryl himself I would think daryl's web site is the best place to purchase it ,if it's not advertised you could try e mailing him.
