I have seen some new folding coins advertised as "New and Revolutionary" because they have no outer groove visible. Isn't this EXACT gaff described in the hardback edition of Bobo's New Modern Coin Magic? If so, does anyone have a publishing date on that edition? Because my car needs a paint job, and I would love to go tell Ford that my '65 Mustang looks dull, even with a its "new" paint job... Argh...

I agree Aaron. My friend Bill King has afolding coin without an outer grove. It was made by Connie Hayden 20 years ago, or maybe longer.

I had one from Peter Crush of Presto Magic in the UK, over 20 years ago also.
Don't recall it being in Bobo.

I sat down and checked in Bobo last night. Page 438, "The New Folding Coin." It's in there. I wonder if those other companies know this...

Sometimes it's easy to be amazed at how much of what's in Bobo's and other readily available classic works, is almost never seen, performed, explored or easily recalled in this community.

Don't they say "If you want to keep something secret, put it in print."

I don't know who "they" are but they sure say a lot of things. Might be those same "they" that are always trying to take things away from people.

You can read and better yourself.

Let "them" wallow in their own ignorance as "they" will.

And don't try to pull any splinters from their eyes either... unless asked.
