You were probably one of those air band guys. Am I correct?
I was performing in Tucson, Az. when Def Leppard's equipment truck driver took a detour to buy some crack. They couldn't find him and so they cancelled the gig. |

In my teens I went to Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth and Metallica concerts as a photographer. I still have the teeshirts and a good collection of guitar and bass picks.

Hey R2, I was a singer in a couple bands that went nowhere in Tucson. I lived there for a few years. Oh, so many memories!
I partied with a few bands while living there. One of the bands was Faith No More, we all partied for 2 days straight. johnny

I was in a punk band when I was in college...we stunk, but it was punk so that was OK. I had a blast.
R2 - is your screen name related to R2-D2? I'm building a R2-D2 robot ... I've built one and had it on display by Lucasfilm at some of their events and I'm currently building a second one (more remote controls ... including a card fountain so it can be in my magic act!) |

Minisrty, Gang Green, Motorhead, Ramones, Murphys Law.
Play a les Paul and a strat (not at the same time.) AND on Classic VH1 we can see the videos and remember the good old days of 120min and the Head Bangers ball. Yep we've reached a weird classic status. |

Partizan...that was you!? Too cool. Tom Araya pointed at me just minutes before I was thrown on stage, it was my first stage dive and I still got the leather motorcycle jacket...that was the day the gulf war started and the first song was war ensemble.

I loved METALLICA. I use to have a denim vest with a big KILL 'EM ALL back-patch sewn on. I wore it everyday to school.
METALLICA died years ago in a tragic tour bus accident. It's too bad nobody told Hetfield and Ulrich. |

My feelings exactly Cholly! Now Metallica has a new bass player which doesn't fit the sound that really made them, even Jason was better. Still thinking of ya Cliff.
The lead gutarist for the one hit wonder band Faith No MOre was very good friends with Cliff, had grown up with him and was still close to his mother after his untimely death. I know because when I met the band the guitarist for Faith No More was the only guy I hung out with, till the dancers showed up then it was every man for himself! lol, oh the good 'ole day's! johnny

I guess I would have to be included in this group. I grew up loving Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. I formed and played in a Metal group for 13 years. I played lead and rhythm guitar and was the lead vocalist. It took a wife, a child, and God (in that order) to change my direction.
My daughter recently discovered Motley Crue. She loves them so much that I took her to see them in concert. I had seen them back in 1985, and it was perhaps the best concert I had ever been to at that time. They still rock, and were amazingly tight and together. Especially since they had been apart for so long, and since it was only the 4th concert of the reunion tour. My musical taste has changed a lot, and now I play acoustic guitar most of the time. I still enjoy listening to metal sometimes. Once in a while, I have a moment of past memories that enters my mind and makes me miss the old days of playing in the band.

I love Megedeth, Anthrax (Ode to billy) etc., But Gruntruck will always be my favorite. As a freind of mine once said: "That musics terrible, It's nothing but a driving satanic rythym". mmmmm. sacrilicious.
Magic is doing improbable things with odd items that, under normal circumstances, would be unnessecary and quite often undesirable.
