Hello
I am a big fan of Joe Pasquale, and at the end of his latest DVD he has a section on "following him on his toru". At the end of this, they show a clip of a child (10-13years of age) doing one of the best simple rope routines I've ever seen. He had two pieces of rope, one large the other small, but always concealed this until the end, but the left hand. It was amazing. Can anyone recommend any good starting material for someone who doesn't even own any rope yet! |

Abbotts Rope Encyclopedia (about $10) should keep you busy.
George Sands "Sandsational Rope Magic" (about $6), and let's not forget "The Professor's Nightmare. Arguably the best and most ripped off magic trick in history. (about $5) That ought bring you up to speed! Good luck! tg |

Phil Willmarth has a great rope and ring book that probably came out in the late 70s or early 80s that is an excellent start for someone needing immediate results. He is at Linking Ring. If he is like most of us, he always has "just one more left to sell". It's good stuff from a good guy. Drop him a line.
I had a young man with my show about that time period that used it. It packed small, always set, played big and costs very little. I was impressed and I think you will be too. Bob Magic By Sander |
