Okay, this is on behalf of a friend who doesn't post here much, but he has broken the plastic holder used in the nest of boxes effect. I'm sure if you have this, you'll know what I mean. Does anyone know of a place to get a replacement? The trick is obviosuly still possible, but it just makes everything a lot easier with that little plastic thing!
Thanks, -Niko

Niko,
The very cheapest sets of those Nest of Boxes can often be bought for a dollar or two (or less). Sometimes the boxes themselves are poorly molded and the tops fit a little funny, but the holder should work just fine. If you search eBay for "coin nest" you'll usually get a few hits on the cheapies. Greg |

For something which can be so easily broken and that is so cheap, they must have replacements! I mean, you can't expect to buy a whole other Nest Of Boxes for that one piece. Does anyone sell it seperately, or as a special favor.

If the set you have is the Tenyo one, I have an extra nest holder I can send you.

Viking makes one of brass that uses a plastic holder and it's very easy to break the small ends. Write Viking and see if they will sell you a replacement.

CardiniMan & Davidmagic have, IMO, offered the best potential solutions to your friend's problem.
I'm still trying to figure out how he broke the plastic holder to begin with, without bending some or all of the nest boxes into useless pieces of brass? Granted, the item is made of plastic, but it's not what I'd consider "fragile". Mike |

I haven’t used the holder for this trick for years. I do perform it regularly. My plastic boxes come out of my pocket wrapped twice in a rubber band and with tape over the bands. Yes, the marked (if it’s not marked why do the trick?) coin is in the smallest, innermost box, and yes the spectator opens the whole mess!
What I’m getting at is that you don’t need the plastic holder. A rubber band works just as well!

Haha! Thanks for the suggestions, Mike I guess he's just a bit careless and as he keeps it in his jacket pocket maybe it got bashed or something...
CardiniMan - thanks for the kind offer, but it's the brass version and I don't think it's the Tenyo one. Davidmagic thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that, and Harry - I knwo it's possible without it, but it just makes life a little easier, and stops them rattling around in your pocket (more of a problem when they're the brass boxes). Thanks again guys. -Niko

Basically it was in my side pocket and as I was climbing over something, I accidently sat on it and crushed it. However I did manage to glue it back together, but I'd still prefer a new one.
