Maybe this is a dumb question, and I know it's a pervasive internet thing, but why allow folks to completely hide behind a handle?

Interesting question, and there are many answers. Smile

First, screen names are a strange thing. Most the pros here use their real name when posting, but I'm sure there are a few professionals that for whatever reason do not want others knowing who it is that is posting.

Many members just are too paranoid about the Internet in general, so prefer to have a screen name as well.

To make it mandatory for members to use their real names is hardly enforceable. Thus Mya's response above. Smile
If someone signed up and said his name was John Doe, who am I to argue with him?

I do wish more folks would use their real names, but that is of course a personal choice that they make.
