Ok, here is the question: what are your best effects from "Apocalypse"? I would like to make some sort of reference, a list per book, that means "The Best of Apocalypse 1-5", "The Best of Apocalypse 6-10", "The Best of Apocalypse 11-15", and "The Best of Apocalypse 16-20". I know, I know, this will be a very subjective list, because everyone has different opinions on tricks (for example I am not into cion magic, so I will almost never have a coin effect on my list)
I will start with "The Best of Apocalypse 1-5": - "Frozen Deckery" by Michael Ammar, page 325 - "Swivel Round-A-Bout" by Herb Zarrow, page 352 - "Star Warp" by Howard Schwarzman, page 361 - "The Shrinking Deck" by Steve Stomp, page 529 - "Holaroid" by DavidLederman, page 536 - "Cards & Coins Ala Cups & Balls" by Ray Mertz, page 546 "The Best of Apocalypse 6-10" - "Inferential C/S Transposition" by Curtis Kam, page 753 - "Hyper Twist" by Richard Vollmer, page 797 - "Hit the Ceiling!" by Jay Bedsworth, page 913 - "Masquerade" by Ben Harris, page 1055 - "Quick Warp" by Jay Marshall, page 1069 - "The Divining Card" by David Regal, page 1301 - "Blown away" by Juan Tamariz, page 1369 "The Best of Apocalypse 11-15" - "Metamorphosis in Miniature" by Doug Edwards, page 1523 - "Qiuzmaster" by Anthony Lindan, page 1693 - "Four to One" by Dean Dill, page 1897 - "Swing-Out Control" by Randy Tanner, page 1924 - "The Gypsy Clip" by Larry Baukin, page 1953 - "End of the Nightmare" by Jim Kahlert, page 2012 - "The Six of Spades" by Stan Cohen, page 2050 Magixx

Thanks for your recommendations. There is such a huge volume of items that it is virtually impossible to sort through them all.

I would have to say any and all of the effects by Richard Vollmer. His ideas and methods are unreal. There are enough of his effects in these volumes to publish what would be a powerful book of diabolical card magic. His work never ceases to amaze me.

Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're probably right. |
