Hi all... just got my own "Frozen in Time" by Masuda.
Any one of you out there use it regularly? Many of the searches I've done here show that people don't really like this effect. Any tips on handling or presentational ideas?

You could maybe link it with other watch routines, perhaps jermays "frozen in time" piece in his building blocks book? there are plenty of other ideas around, perhaps osterlinds watch routine could be utilised somewhere either as a prelude or a after piece

You're referring to luke jermay's "stuck in a moment" from building blocks, yes? how would "frozen in time" fit that effect? unless you're using it as some kind of smaller effect, like a side dish.
I really do welcome other comments on handlings and ideas for "frozen in time", thank you all so much.

I used Frozen in time sometimes but in bizarre magick. When the mood and people are right, I tell a strange story about the owner of the pocket watch in the picture. This man used his watch like a pendulum and when he died, his watch stopped. Then I make spirit seance with the public to establish a communication with this man. This one communicates the hour of its death for one person of the public. Hour is verified on the photo and it corresponds. But please, if you do this trick, do not use the very ugly plastic case sold with the routine. Use your fingers and midirections.

Yes, I agree. it's so strange that the actual prop looks so classy but the plastic case looks bad. was also thinking of doing it without the plastic case and using something else. thanks for your ideas, appreciate it!

Work this effect. For the people, it's really stunning. More stunning than real watch because it's printed. For the people it looks impossible ! You can use "Frozen in Time" in the telepathic experience too. As it's the first time that the spectator is going to tempt a telepathy experience, you say to him that you go to experience with a perfect time to help him. It erases the weakness of the trick (the impossibility to make this trick with minutes). And keep this effect, because apparently, Masuda does not make any more Frozen in time. It became a collector.

Effectively, Masuda made it little anyway. Just ten " Frozen in time " a year. Fukai was for the magic convention? Just as dealer or also in performance? Fukai and Kimika are very nice people. I had the chance to work with them some years ago. They are charming. It's the same thing with maka tendo with whom I worked the last year... really nice people. The next week-end I meet Shimada. He performs his oriental magic show in France. I hope that it will be identical. Because you live in Asia, maybe you could inform me. What becomes Hiro Sakai?
