Hi, I was wondering who created this variation of the zombie ball.
It is a different version or different objects of the Zombie ball but it involves a dinner roll and a napkin (the ones you can wash). The dinner roll can be any dinner roll and the napkin can be any napkin and it is impromptu. You ask for a dinner roll and a napkin. You place the napkin over the dinner roll and suddenly it starts to float, and it would turn to a normal zombie routine, and at the end it goes out of control, and lands in a pile of silverware. You are left clean, no things to carry around, and you could find this stuff in your kitchen. So who created this version? |

I know Jay Marshall did it on his "Table Crap" tape. But I have seen it in print before someplace else. Maybe Martin Gardner's "Encyclopedia of Impromptu Magic'?

I'm not surprised that Jay Marshall used it, since he was Editor-in-chief of the New Phoenix when the article was printed. BTW, the "clean-up in a pile of forks" idea was probably a later addition, because it isn't used in that write-up. There's something good to be said for creating wonder by stabbing stuff. Although it's tempting, I wouldn't recommend floating small animals or unruly children. |
