Hello All,
On page 134 of Corinda's 13STM, he references one of the Tarbell books regarding blindfold (with dough, coins, tape, etc.). Does anyone know which of the Tarbell books he'a referring to? I know, I know. I should have the whole set, but I don't. If you do know the specific book, a PM would be great. Thanks! WN |

Hi
That is lesson 77, in Tarbell 6 page 251-261 X-Ray Eyes and Blindfold Effects This chapter just covers it very briefly, with some basic blindfolds and a couple of hoods. Sven

Hello,
Dr. Tarbell was a mentalist as well as a knowledgeable magician. The Sightless Vision was his signature act. |

You can likewise get a copy of Eddie Joseph's INTUITIONAL SIGHT manuscript through Abbott's, which lends a very solid outline to the act. I'd likewise suggest finding archieve footage of Kuddha Bux, who was probably the most famous performer doing this style of blindfold routine.
Many years ago I did the dough and bandage blindfold when working the Goth club market. Not because it's a great blindfold but because the use of the oozy sticky dough got laughs... Where I can't see this bit being overly viable in most of today's venues, it could have some Comedy Club and Ravve applications for someone bearing the right kind of high energy and droll humor it would require. |

There was an artist form Ireland, Susan McWilliam, that reproduced Kuda Bux’s act about two years ago in a gallery.
You may se a couple of picts here: http://www.ncad.ie/faculties/fineart/staff/smacwilliam.html If you do a search here you will find a topic I started asking for info about Bux, where a couple of members here gave great accounts of Kuda Bux’s act. Besides, Jack Dean has a nice booklet on blindfold work that you may find useful. Ask Paul Alberstat. |
