Hi all,
I've been booked to work at Hard Rock Café and I was wondering if you could please give me some very strong comercial ideas, to use on a new drink that they are about to release. Do you have any ideas to this kind of event? They want me to sell a new drink from Jameson's whisky and also merchandising: pens,t-shirts, mugs, etc.. I appreciate all your help. Thanks |

Hi there,
a great commercial trick is the Celebrity Deck. Available from alakazam.co.uk The idea is for it to be used with actors names but you can just as easily put drinks on the cards. In fact, thinking about it, I've decided it's 100% what you are looking for. Get it! Plus it's a brand new product so no-one will have seen it. Matt

I assume the new product is a RTD (Ready to drink) in a bottle so here are some thoughts.
Topit Bottle production Learn a quick bottle spin (flourish) Coin in Bottle Coasters- have a simple interactive game on 1 side that the customer keeps. Promo Idea. Have a huge wall poster of you holding 5 cards a poker hand. (or the other side of your coaster) The deal is to beat you. Each time a customer buys the Whisky drink they get a ticket with a picture of 5 cards. The aim is to beat your hand. They win Key rings, wallets, caps , T shirts, stubbie holders free drink. 2nd chance draw to win an esky. Other tricks: Card on the ceiling- get them to write Jaimeson on the card the ceiling gets jaimeson all over roof. Gambling demo (Skinner ultimate 3 card monte) with the last tag line- I never lose and neither will you with Jaimesons Whisky. |

Yes,
Thank you for your comments. Before posting I had already a few ideas in mind. A Bottle prediction, a Airborne with Jameson's bottle and I could use the line "Jameson's is a magic drink". I also Have an idea to make appear a car from the company with two girls on both sides holding a bottle of jameson's. Ted Lesley's bending glass is also a good one to use with another line that I've created "Jameson's is a strong drink, watch..." Finnally some kind of interactive magic with the clients, and in the end the keep the cards of Jameson's logo as a souvenir. The important is to make the clients never forget the drink when they see it again. Thank you |

Where will you be performing?
In a function room or in the bar or for the patrons of the hotel. Who is hiring you Jaimesons or the hotel. I doubt that the hotel will have the budget for a car production. Are you performing on stage or are you doing roving around the tables. |

It's the Hard Rock Café, on the lower level of the bar. The Hard Rock Café are the ones who are hiring my services. I have a free choice of perform on stage, or do table hopping.

And the hotel is paying you to produce a car on stage??? I doubt it.
Do you have to be seated to perform the bending glass effect. Essentially it's a product launch so the product is the focus when it comes to slogans I think you should check out the following web site to learn all you can about the product and its history that should be a start http://www.jameson.ie/flash.asp Also The company supplying the whisky will provide promotional materials so you will want to check out these before anything else.- Your tailored performance will come from this material. |
