Well, the folks at the primary San Francisco magic shop have these great lectures every so often, and I have wanted to attend, but they are always on a weeknight, and I live a good two hour drive from the City.
Last night was Luke Jermay, so we went (okay, I whined...a lot! and we went) I know he mostly gets put intot he mentalism section, and he indeed bills himself as a mentalist for the most part, but I must say, his work is rather inspirational. We both found things that we KNOW will take a bizarre turn, and if you have not read his material, I urge you to do so! Some will feel slighted as he speaks about principles employed by Banacheck, and Brown, and the work done with words (I know, you wanted "tricks" and lots of them!) Hey, I TEACH first aid and CPR, I KNOW how to take a pulse...and let me tell you last night was awesome..... Tory said the look on my face was worth money! If you get the chance to attend his lecture, do so, and listen well, the gears should be well oiled to allow you to keep up! Thanks Mr. Jermay for a well done late night out! Kay

And they laughed and said it was all theory... but they stopped laughing when I started to play... and took a pulse.

Luke Jermay stopped my pulse here at Tannens in N.Y. a month ago and it hasn’t started again, yet.
But is cool, because now I can walk thru walls and learned a couple of eerie calls... |

Kay, I wish I was there! I would love to see Luke in action.

Luke came to Chicago, and blew us all away. I sincerely love his "Tossed out Deck" idea with audience members. That killed most everybody in attendance, and those that were still alive, well, their pulses stopped when he performed "For Andruzzi". All puns aside, his routines are of such excellent calliber that any mentalist/bizarrist sould read his works. They are chuck full of wonderfully devious deceptions.
