I am a 7 letter word. My 1,2,3 is a body part.
My 2,3,4,5 is a kind of fruit. My 4,5,6 is what you would need every day. My 5,6,7 is an animal. What am I? Shane Wiker |

I am going to try to think my way through this as I write it. If 1,2,3 is a body part then let's deal with the three letter body parts: Arm, Ear, Eye, Gum, Hip, Jaw, Leg, Lip, Rib, Toe. Those are the 10 with regular names then there are a few more with coloquial names: gut, abs, *** (off the top of my head that is all I have). 4,5,6 is "what you would need every day." The only thing that I can think of that is three letters that fits that is "air." Now, combine a body part with that, and add a letter to see if anything amkes sense. None of them can make a fruit with their last two letters and "ai" from air. If it was 3,4,5,6 that made a word and not 2,3,4,5 we would be in business becuase "Hip" and "lip" would allow "pair" to be created which is simply a homophone of "pear"...which is a fruit. That's all I got, anyone want to pick up where I left off?

I found a word..but it fits only in 3 ways:
the word is EARTHEN 1) 123= EAR : a body part. 2) 2345= ARTH=???? this is the problem..its not a fruit!! it just doesn't exist.. 3) 456= THE : a word that we'd need everyday...?? 4) 567= HEN :a kind of animal. the best I could find... what do you think? |

That's right FullMindPower. I didn't understand the Arth part either, but I heard it was supposed to be a hybrid fruit.

Good job, FullMindPower. Even with Nick's post, I never would have known that an Arth was a fruit. Just that someone once threatened to kick my arth. (speech impediment)

Wow, that one had me beat to because I kept trying all these various three named animals and body parts, but nothing in the middle worked.
And here I have a last name that people mistakenly pronounce that way!!! Greg
One of my favorite quotes: "A critic is a legless man who teaches running."
