I've been a little hesitant to write this, as I'm a big fan of Martin Lewis and most of his products, but he can do better than this.

The Mardo Egg Bag is a wonderful trick, as is his routine. The DVD is a little "Amateur Hour" in its production values, but that's not the problem. My main gripe is the explanation doesn't follow the the performance. There are certain parts of the routine that I would really like to know how he gets into them, but the explanation is disjointed and out of order.

He does some explanations using a net egg bag and you can't see the egg or his hand.

He confuses Ross Bertram and Faucett (sic ?) Ross several times. He does correct himself, but it just gives the feeling that there was little preparation and care.

Actually, the performance/explanation is rather short. Much more could be said.

The part with his mother is tedious, but I'm sure would be very helpful to anyone trying to sew their own bag.

The DVD is not expensive as these things go and I've been hosed much worse, but I was expecting more. Much more actually.

I have no problem with the content, I think it's short and to the point. All meat no filler. The quality though bothers me as it freezes and skips in several places. I know its not dirty but I would like to try cleaning it just in case.Anyone know how to clean a DVD? Again as far as the content I like this DVD very much.

Just curious - If Martin chooses to wholesale his material, what's wrong with buying it somewhere other than Magikraft?

HI!

I doubt dirt is the problem*, but is it is, I've found the automated cleaner / scratch removers a worthwhile investment. I believe they sell for about 30 bucks.

*I no longer have the Egg Bag DVD, but I believe they were duped on a computer, rather than pressed. The skipping and pixelation is a common problem. FWIW, I'm told it occurs when the burner/blank media can't keep up with the stream. I could be wrong about everything here.

Thanks for the info. I got the DVD very inexpensively on sale from Meir Yedids' My Magic website. A cleaner is more than twice the cost of the DVD so I'll assume it a fault in the burning process and save my money.Too bad about the quality as there is some very good info on the DVD.

Just to make sure we're on the same wave length. These "machines" can be used for many CDs and DVDs. After a while they tend to pay for themselves.

Take care.....

Why not just see his routine and explanation on the Stevens DVD on the Egg Bag? His routine is well explained on that video.

I perform the routine with a Tarbell Bag made by Pauline Tong. Considering the bags only cost $20 and are top notch, why would anyone need to make their own?
