I bought this years ago. Never really used it because it was difficult to keep the ball on the gimmick. It works the same way as a regular zombie, just smaller.
It sits in my closet.

You can throw a little sticky tac on the gimmick and it holds the ball rather nicely. The only difficulty I had with it was the lightness of the ball and gimmick. Any little movement of the gimmick is magnified by the ball. As a result, it is very hard to make it look like a smooth natural float.

As has been mentioned, the ball is a bit light, but it may work for some people. I like putting something on with a little more heft, and a small solid rubber drilled would also work very well.
I replaced the ball on mine with a little stuffed ghost-like cloth doll, and just used the gimmick. It makes a nice little close up zombi thing. The arms and legs flop around nicely and it works pretty well. BroDavid

I like it and it takes some practice time to get use to making the movements smooth and the ball is alittle light but with some practice it looks good.I used mine at christmas and took it from tree as ornament and started routine that way.

The Vernet Mini Zombie Ball is a great zombie effect that you can use in Close-up magic. Its size allows you to take it anywhere.
Magicians need to start using the magic items that they throw away in their junk drawer. I've had so many people tell me that the Zombie effect is junk but if you ever seen a Zombie routine performed correctly, like I've had, you would be in awe. I can't believe how great an effect the Zombie Ball is. To use a Zombie Ball, you have to spend some time learning how to control the ball but these days most people don't want to spend the time practicing the handling or routine. It's easier to say that something is junk and not spend the time learning how to perform the effect.
